Using Cultural Modeling to Inform a NEDSS-Compatible System Functionality Evaluation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective The culture by which public health professionals work defines their organizational objectives, expectations, policies, and values. These aspects of culture are often intangible and difficult to qualify. The introduction of an information system could further complicate the culture of a jurisdiction if the intangibles of a culture are not clearly understood. This report describes how cultural modeling can be used to capture intangible elements or factors that may affect NEDSScompatible (NC) system functionalities within the culture of public health jurisdictions.

متن کاملSpice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits
An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...
متن کاملReprint of a process model for developing usable cross-cultural websites
In this paper we present a process model for developing usable cross-cultural websites. Compatible with ISO 13407, the process model documents an abstraction of the design process focusing on cultural issues in development. It provides a framework in which a variety of user-based and expert-based techniques for analysis and design are placed within the life-cycle of website development. In deve...
متن کاملClinical evaluation of vasomotor system functionality in type 2 diabetic Patients
Background: Autonomic neuropathy and vital organ dysfunctions are the known complications in type 2 diabetes Mellitus (DM). Genetic endowments involving individuals make subtle differences in physiological systems, particularly at the time of sickness. Hence, the presented study was designed to evaluate the vasomotor system in healthy people and type 2 DM cases for determining any functionality...
متن کاملNational Electronic Disease Surveillance System: A Status Report on Implementation
The National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS) relies on industry-standard code sets used in health information technology (i.e., LOINC, SNOMED, and HL7) to integrate surveillance systems that efficiently and securely transfer public health, laboratory, and clinical data from the health care system to public health departments. NEDSS comprises interoperable individual surveillance ...
