EMC’04/Sendai ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE AMONG CABLES AND INTERCONNECTIONS : APPROXIMATIONS THROUGH HIERARCHICAL GRAPHS
نویسنده
چکیده
Electromagnetic topology was introduced a few decades ago in order to bring some rules in analysing EMC of very large systems through a fluence graph of electromagnetic interactions. Establishing these graphs was made possible from application of the so-called "good shielding approximation". At cable or track level, such a procedure is investigated in this paper. Other approximations are introduced, enabling to split calculations through edges of a hierarchical graph.

Optically Interconnected Phased Arrays
Phased-array antennas are required for many of NASA's future missions. They will provide agile electronic beam forming for communications and tracking in the range of 1 to 100 GHz. Such phased arrays are expected to use several hundred GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC's) as transmitting and receiving elements. However, the interLn CO connections of these elements by conventio...
متن کاملAnalysis and Design of Ribbon Cables for High-Speed Digital Applications
Ribbon cables have been widely used as subsystem interconnections in a large number of digital systems, because they can convey numerous bits of a digital signal simultaneously. In this article, finite difference and finite difference time domain (FDTD) methods are used to analyze and optimize the electrostatic analysis design of ribbon cables, and measurements are used to verify the numerical ...

Power substations in an urban area are interconnected by high voltage underground power cables, resulting also in interconnections of their earthing grids through cable metallic screens/sheaths. Most modern power cables with XLPE insulated core have metallic screens which are practically insulated from ground. These screens can only be (and usually are) grounded at cable ends and therefore do n...

Switching, interconnections, and networking is about moving (digital) information around, from place to place. Such movement can physically occur via wireless communication, optical fibers, or metallic (usually copper) cables. The highest performance interconnects --the most challenging ones for switch architectures-use optical fibers or metallic cables. Transmission of information in these med...
متن کاملThe Interconnections of the Lhc Cryomagnets
The main components of the LHC, the next world-class facility in high-energy physics, are the twin-aperture highfield superconducting cryomagnets to be installed in the existing 26.7-km long tunnel. After installation and alignment, the cryomagnets have to be interconnected. The interconnections must ensure the continuity of several functions: vacuum enclosures, beam pipe image currents (RF con...
