چکیده
Mingchuan Zhang and Su-shing Chen Department of Computer Science University of North Carolina Charlotte, NC 28223 In this paper, we present some results of evidential reasoning m understanding multispectral images of remote sensing systems. The Dempster-Shafer approach of combination of evidences is pursued to yield contextual classification results, which are compared with previous results of the Bayesian context free classification, contextual classifications of dynamic programming and stochastic relaxation approaches.

Comprehensive Decision Modeling of Reverse Logistics System: A Multi-criteria Decision Making Model by using Hybrid Evidential Reasoning Approach and TOPSIS (TECHNICAL NOTE)
In the last two decades, product recovery systems have received increasing attention due to several reasons such as new governmental regulations and economic advantages. One of the most important activities of these systems is to assign returned products to suitable reverse manufacturing alternatives. Uncertainty of returned products in terms of quantity, quality, and time complicates the decis...
متن کاملAn Evidential Reasoning Contextual Approach to Tropical Forest Classification Using Very High Spatial Resolution Earth Observation Data
Earth observation has been widely recognised as having considerable potential to aid an improved understanding of tropical forest biodiversity. However, studies that have explored the use of the multispectral response recorded by Earth observation satellites to infer climatically and edaphically determined floristically distinct tropical forest types have on the whole reported disappointing res...
متن کاملMetadata-augmented multilevel Bayesian network framework for image sensor fusion and main subject detection
Automatic main subject detection refers to the problem of determining salient or interesting objects in a photograph. We have used a multilevel Bayesian network-based approach for solving this problem in the unconstrained domain of consumer photographs. In our previous work, we described building an evidential reasoning and image sensor fusion framework that uses a number of low-level and high-...
متن کاملFeature Fusion Based on Dempster-shafer's Evidential Reasoning for I Mage Texture Classification*
A new multi-feature fusion technique based on Dempster-Shafer's evidential reasoning for classification of image texture is presented. The proposed technique is divided into three main steps. In the first step, the fractal dimension and gray co-occurrence matrix entropy are extracted from a texture image. In the second step, we focus on how to design a probability assignment function m(A) repre...
متن کاملModelling the Level of Adoption of Analytical Tools; An Implementation of Multi-Criteria Evidential Reasoning
In the future, competitive advantages will be given to organisations that can extract valuable information from massive data and make better decisions. In most cases, this data comes from multiple sources. Therefore, the challenge is to aggregate them into a common framework in order to make them meaningful and useful. This paper will first review the most important multi-criteria decision analy...
