چکیده

The Agentcities network provides an opportunity to test the interoperation of multi-agent systems that are distributed and implemented across a variety of platforms whose only common factor is adherence to the FIPA protocols. In this context we aim to test our agent platform, Opal, which employs some new techniques for agent information exchange that we believe can make agent interaction in heterogeneous environments such as Agentcities more effective. The new agent interaction techniques supported by Opal involve (a) ontology and ontology-specific content language representation in the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and (b) dynamic exchange of interaction protocols. We will be testing the Opal system in the areas of tourism and distributed healthcare, both of which are significant application areas in New Zealand.

Agentcities: Building a Global Next-Generation Service Environment

This paper describes how the Agentcities initiative is being used to develop a rich and dynamic service environment in which user and business tasks can be achieved through ad-hoc service interactions. We present the goals and aims of Agentcities and also detail the development of the Agentcities Network to date. We also describe the future challenges of open, heterogeneous environments and how...

TAGA: Using Semantic Web Technologies in Multi-Agent Systems

Travel Agent Game in Agentcities (TAGA) is a framework that extends and enhances the Trading Agent Competition (TAC) scenario to work in Agentcities, an open multi agent environment based on FIPA compliant platforms. Clickable inverse opal: a useful platform for fabrication of stimuli-responsive photonic materials.

Based on azide-containing clickable inverse opal, a strategy for efficiently fabricating functional photonic materials was developed. By using three types of ethynylated compounds as model molecules, it is found that different functional groups can be facilely introduced into the prepared inverse opal via click reaction to access various inverse opaline materials.
