The Data Playground – data driven workflow construction for the life sciences

چکیده
We present a hybrid system within which the end user, typically a knowledge worker in the life science domain, can manipulate an exemplar data set in an exploratory fashion. Observation of this manual process is used to create a data flow based workflow. The user programs the system 'by example' allowing the creation of complex reusable processes by users with knowledge of the data but lacking programming expertise.
