Disturbance rejection using self-tuning ARMARKOV adaptive control with simultaneous identification

چکیده
In this paper we present a numerical and experimental investigation of the properties of the ARMARKOV adaptive control (AAC) algorithm with simultaneous identification. This algorithm requires a model of only the secondary path (control input to performance variable) transfer function which is identified online using the time-domain ARMARKOV/Toeplitz identification technique. For a 5-mode acoustic duct model, we present numerical as well as experimental results for single-tone, dual-tone, and broadband disturbance rejection. In the simulations and experiments we assume no knowledge of the disturbance signal.

Adaptive disturbance rejection using ARMARKOV/Toeplitz models
An adaptive disturbance rejection algorithm is developed for the standard control problem. The multiple input–multiple output (MIMO) system and controller are represented as ARMARKOV/Toeplitz models, and the parameter matrix of the compensator is updated on-line by means of a gradient algorithm. The algorithm requires minimal knowledge of the plant, specifically, the numerator of the ARMARKOV m...
متن کاملAdaptive Control of a Spin-Stabilized Spacecraft Using two Reaction Wheels and a 1DoF Gimbaled-Thruster
In impulsive orbital maneuvers, a large disturbance torque is generated by the thrust vector misalignment from the center of mass (C.M). The purpose of this paper is to reject the mentioned disturbance and stabilize the spacecraft attitude, based on the combination of a one degree of freedom (1DoF) gimbaled-thruster, two reaction wheels (RWs) and spin-stabilization. In this paper, the disturban...
متن کاملActive Control of Noise using a Pneumatic Servovalve
In this paper we demonstrate the applicability of a high speed pneumatic servovalve for active noise control (ANC). Pressurized air is fluctuated using the servovalve to produce sound at commandable amplitude and frequency. The paper presents results of a noise cancellation experiment with an acoustic duct structure where disturbance produced by a speaker is overwhelmed by the high speed pneuma...
متن کاملFixed-gain/adaptive Control for Simultaneous Rejection of Broadband and Sinusoidal Disturbances
In this paper we experimentally investigate the feasibility of using a hybrid fixed-gain/adaptive control architecture for simultaneous rejection of broadband and sinusoidal disturbances. The motivation for this study comes from active noise control (ANC) applications in which the disturbance has both broadband and sinusoidal components, for example, wind noise and engine noise in an aircraft c...
متن کاملAdaptive Control of a Flexible Membrane Using Acoustic Excitation and Optical Sensing
Flexible membranes are envisioned as a key component of large, lightweight, space-based systems. This paper focuses on the problem of adaptive disturbance rejection, that is, the rejection of external disturbances with unknown spectral content. It describes the design and operation of a laboratory testbed involving a flexible membrane with acoustic excitation and optical sensing. The ARMARKOV a...
