Emitter geolocation using single moving receiver
نویسندگان
چکیده
Emitter geolocation using a single moving receiving-station is explored. We propose algorithms for transponder-aided geolocation of an emitting station where the transmitted waveform is either known or unknown a priori. The emitter position is estimated directly (in a single-step) from the received signal samples. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the performance. The results are compared with single-step algorithms for multiple-receivers geolocation system and with the Cramér–Rao lower bound. & 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Pulse Repetition Interval Estimation in Mov- Ing Passive Sensors Based on Observation Calibration
High-accuracy pulse repetition interval (PRI) estimation is meaningful for passive sensors to identify radar emitters. This paper considers the problem of estimating the PRIs of motionless radars in moving passive sensor systems. A modified method which based on observation calibration is proposed. This method can efficiently compensate the estimation bias induced by model mismatch, through cal...
متن کاملWireless Emitter Location Estimation Based on Linear and Nonlinear Algorithms using TDOA Technique
Low-power devices such as cell phones, and wireless routers are commonly used to control Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and as the communication nodes for the sake of command and control. Quickly locating the source of these signals is ambitious, specifically in a metropolitan environment where buildings and towers may cause intervention. This presents a geolocation system that compounds t...
متن کاملRadar Emitter Localization Using TDOA
This paper presents passive radar emitter localization using the Time-Difference-Of-Arrival (TDOA) technique from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) working in conjunction with a fixed/mobile station (such as a shipborne/land-based station) to geolocate a radar emitter to fulfill maritime and littoral area surveillance. Instead of using multiple stationary sensors, multiple TDOA measurements are o...
متن کامل3-D emitter localization using inhomogeneous bistatic scattering
The purpose of this work is to establish how a moving emitter can be localized by a passive receiver using inhomogeneous bistatic scattering. This is a novel localization technique that assumes no a priori knowledge of the location of the reflecting sources. The emitter parameters of range, heading, velocity, and altitude are estimated and the variances of the estimates are determined. The prop...
متن کاملA compact time reversal emitter-receiver based on a leaky random cavity
Time reversal acoustics (TRA) has gained widespread applications for communication and measurements. In general, a scattering medium in combination with multiple transducers is needed to achieve a sufficiently large acoustical aperture. In this paper, we report an implementation for a cost-effective and compact time reversal emitter-receiver driven by a single piezoelectric element. It is based...
