Multi-view Tensors

چکیده
The last few years have seen considerable interest in a the analysis and application of multilinear relations between corresponding features in images taken with a perspective camera. Given a point in space seen in two images, the image points satisfy an epipolar constraint expressed by the fundamental matrix. This is a 3× 3 matrix F that satisfies the equation x′ Fx = 0 where x and x′ are any two corresponding points (expressed as homogeneous 3-vectors) in the two images. One way of expressing this is that the point x′ matching a point x in the first image lies on a line Fx, known as the epipolar line. More recently, similar relationships have been discovered between corresponding points and lines in three and four views. The trifocal tensor relates points and lines in three views. The most basic relationship involves a point in one image and two corresponding lines in the other images.

Revisiting Single-View Shape Tensors: Theory and Applications
Given the projection of a su cient number of points it is pos sible to algebraically eliminate the camera parameters and obtain view invariant functions of image coordinates and space coordinates These single view invariants have been introduced in the past however they are not as well understood as their dual multi view tensors In this paper we revisit the dual tensors bilinear trilinear and q...
متن کاملBayesian Multi-view Tensor Factorization
We introduce a Bayesian extension of the tensor factorization problem to multiple coupled tensors. For a single tensor it reduces to standard PARAFAC-type Bayesian factorization, and for two tensors it is the first Bayesian Tensor Canonical Correlation Analysis method. It can also be seen to solve a tensorial extension of the recent Group Factor Analysis problem. The method decomposes the set o...
متن کاملThe Quadrifocal Variety
Multi-view Geometry is reviewed from an Algebraic Geometry perspective and multi-focal tensors are constructed as equivariant projections of the Grassmannian. A connection to the principal minor assignment problem is made by considering several flatlander cameras. The ideal of the quadrifocal variety is computed up to degree 6 using the representations of GL(3) in the polynomial ring on the spa...
متن کاملOn Calibration, Structure from Motion and Multi-view Geometry for Generic Camera Models
We consider calibration and structure from motion tasks for a previously introduced, highly general imaging model, where cameras are modeled as possibly unconstrained sets of projection rays. This allows to describe most existing camera types (at least for those operating in the visible domain), including pinhole cameras, sensors with radial or more general distortions, catadioptric cameras (ce...

We consider calibration and structure-from-motion tasks for a previously introduced, highly general imaging model, where cameras are modeled as possibly unconstrained sets of projection rays. This allows to describe most existing camera types (at least for those operating in the visible domain), including pinhole cameras, sensors with radial or more general distortions, and especially panoramic...
متن کاملTensorial Properties of Multiple View Constraints
We define and derive some properties of the different multiple view tensors. The multiple view geometry is described using a four-dimensional linear manifold in IR3m, wherem denotes the number of images. The Grassman coordinates of this manifold build up the components of the different multiple view tensors. All relations between these Grassman coordinates can be expressed using the quadratic p...
