Incremental Rule Induction for Multicriteria and Multiattribute Classification

چکیده
Incremental induction of decision rules within the dominance-based rough set approach to the multicriteria and multiattribute classification is discussed. We introduce an algorithm, called Glance, that incrementally induces a set of all rules from examples. We experimentally evaluate it and compare with two other algorithms, previously proposed for this kind of classification problem.

Discrete Optimization Multicriteria heuristic search q
This paper extends the multicriteria decision paradigm to the heuristic search domain in a systematic way. A useful formal definition of multicriteria heuristic graph search problems is provided. Then the fundamental issues in multicriteria search are described in detail and a general framework is developed. Several new procedures are presented and analyzed for the usual multicriteria decision ...
متن کاملLearning Rule Ensembles for Ordinal Classification with Monotonicity Constraints
Ordinal classification problems with monotonicity constraints (also referred to as multicriteria classification problems) often appear in real-life applications, however, they are considered relatively less frequently in theoretical studies than regular classification problems. We introduce a rule induction algorithm based on the statistical learning approach that is tailored for this type of p...
متن کاملA new multicriteria risk mapping approach based on a multiattribute frontier concept.
Invasive species risk maps provide broad guidance on where to allocate resources for pest monitoring and regulation, but they often present individual risk components (such as climatic suitability, host abundance, or introduction potential) as independent entities. These independent risk components are integrated using various multicriteria analysis techniques that typically require prior knowl...
متن کاملA characterization of generalized concordance rules in multicriteria decision making
This article proposes a principled approach to multicriteria decision making (MCDM) where the worth of decisions along attributes is not supposed to be quantified, as in multiattribute utility theory, or even measured on a unique scale. This approach actually generalizes additive concordance rules a la Electre and is rigorously justified in an axiomatic way by representation theorems. We indeed...
متن کاملThe RULES-4 incremental inductive learning algorithm
This paper describes RULES-4, a new algorithm for incremental inductive learning from the “RULES” family of automatic rule extraction systems. This algorithm is the first incremental learning system in the family. It has a number of advantages over well known non-incremental schemes. It allows the stored knowledge to be updated and refined rapidly when new examples are available. The induction ...
