چکیده

The aim of this note is to show that the following difference equation xn+1 = α + xn−k ∑k−1 i=0 cixn−i , n = 0, 1, . . . , where k ∈ N, ci ≥ 0, i = 0, . . . , k− 1, ∑k−1 i=0 ci = 1, and α < −1, has solutions which monotonically converge to zero. This result shows the existence of such solutions which was not shown in the recently accepted paper: A. E. Hamza, On the recursive sequence xn+1 = α + xn−1 xn , J. Math. Anal. Appl. (in press).

Ewa Schmeidel OSCILLATORY AND ASYMPTOTICALLY ZERO SOLUTIONS OF THIRD ORDER DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS WITH QUASIDIFFERENCES

In this paper, third order difference equations are considered. We study the nonlinear third order difference equation with quasidifferences. Using Riccati transformation techniques, we establish some sufficient conditions for each solution of this equation to be either oscillatory or converging to zero. The result is illustrated with examples.

The Solution of Fully Fuzzy Quadratic Equations Based on Restricted ‎Variation

Firstly, in this paper, we apply the Fuzzy Restricted Variation Method to achieve an analytical and approximate unsymmetrical fuzzy solution for Fully Fuzzy Quadratic Equation. In this application, after finding the real root of 1-cut of $tilde{A}tilde{X}^{2}+tilde{B}tilde{X}+tilde{C}=tilde{D}$, initial guess is always chosen with possible unknown parameters that leads to highly accurate soluti...

Generalized Maxwell Equations in Exterior Domains II: Radiation Problems and Low Frequency Behavior

We discuss the radiation problem of total reflection for a time-harmonic generalized Maxwell system in an exterior domain Ω ⊂ RN , N ≥ 3 , with nonsmooth inhomogeneous, anisotropic coefficients converging near infinity with a rate r−τ , τ > 1 , towards the identity. By means of the limiting absorption principle we prove for real frequencies that a Fredholm alternative holds true, that eigensolu...

Jeffery Hamel Flow of a non-Newtonian Fluid

This paper presents the Jeffery Hamel flow of a non-Newtonian fluid namely Casson fluid. Suitable similarity transform is applied to reduce governing nonlinear partial differential equations to a much simpler ordinary differential equation. Variation of Parameters Method (VPM) is then employed to solve resulting equation. Same problem is solved numerical by using Runge-Kutta order 4 method. A c...
