Incidence of Sleep Disordered Breathing in Children with Adenotonsillar Diseases

Study objectives: Assess the prevalence of sleep disordered breathing in adenotosillar diseases and identify the risk factors of sleep disordered breathing in children. Design: A retrospective random sample who had adenotonsillar diseases , were assessed with validated questionnaire which helped in understanding the impact of sleep disordered breathing which included history of physical suffering, sleep disturbances speech or swallowing problems, emotional distress, activity limitations, caregiver concerns, previous complaints, family history, orofacial or chest anomalies. Setting: The study includes 50 patients (children below 12 years of age) who reported to the E.N.T outdoor unit carried out for 3 months. The questionnaire was parental for below 10 years of agers.
