چکیده

This paper concerns the design and the implementation of a fully integrated front-end intended to Near-Infrared Spectroscopy System (NIRS) acquisition system. A low-noise transimpedance amplification (TIA) circuit followed by adjustable cut-off frequency and a low-pass filter (LPF) was implemented in order to decrease noise circuit of NIRS detectors. For TIA, a single ended common source, common gate input stage based on a cascode structure is used to get a higher gain-bandwidth closed-loop transimpedance amplifier. To enhance the circuit noise performance, a single feedback transistor technique is used, compared to passive feedback, to achieved high quality data from NIRS acquisition channel. The proposed LPF combines two control methods to adjust the low cut-off frequency. Simulation results show a TIA gain of 104.2 dBΩ, −3dB bandwidth of 19 MHz and an equivalent input noise current spectral density of 446 fA/√Hz. LPF filter exhibits a relatively constant noise 201nV/√Hz from 0 Hz to 700 KHz and linearity performance over its entire tuning range. The proposed front-end of NIRS preamplifier is implemented using 0.18 μm CMOS technology.

Low Noise Front-End Amplifier Dedicated to Monitor Very Low Amplitude Signal from Implantable Sensors

This paper describes a low-noise, low-power and lowvoltage analog front-end amplifier integrated in implantable electronic devices and dedicated to very low amplitude signal acquisition. Low noise and low DC offset are obtained by means of Chopper Stabilization (CHS) technique. In addition, due to adding a rail to rail input stage, low power supply (1.8V) and wide common mode input range (0-1.8...

A New Analog-based LO Harmonic Rejection Technique with Tunable Notch Frequency

An effective technique for mixer LO harmonic rejection in a SAW-less wideband receiver front-end is proposed. The proposed technique provides a tunable notch that can be placed at any frequency like mixer LO harmonics, to avoid the aliasing in baseband after mixing. An analog LC notch is used in a cascode transconductor, and it can reject one of the 3rd or 5th harmonics. T...

Design of High Gain, High Reverse Isolation and High Input Matched Narrowband LNA for GPS L1 Band Applications Using 0.18µm Technology

Design of Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver with a low noise amplifier (LNA) in the front end remains a major design requirement for the success of modern day navigation and communication system. Any LNA is expected to meet the requirements like its ability to add the least amount of noise while providing sufficient gain, perfect input and output matching, and high linearity. However, mo...

New Beam Position Monitor System Design for the APS Injector*

Demands on the APS injector have evolved over the last few years to the point that an upgrade to the existing beam position monitor (BPM) electronics is required. The injector is presently being used as a source for both the low-energy undulator test line (LEUTL) project and the top-up mode of operation. These new requirements and the fact that many new rf receiver components are available at r...
