چکیده

We present the results from the Chandra ACIS CC mode observation of an anomalous X-ray pulsar (AXP) 1E 1841-045. This is the first observation in which the pulsar spectrum in wide energy range is spatially discriminated from the surrounding SNR, Kes 73. Like other AXPs, the phase-integrated spectrum is fitted well with power-law plus blackbody model. The spectral parameters are Γ = 2.0± 0.3, kTBB =0.44±0.02 keV, and NH =2.54 +0.15 −0.13×10 cm. This photon index is significantly flatter than the other AXPs, and resemble to soft gamma-ray repeaters (SGRs) in the quiescent state. The pulse profile is double-peaked, and we found that the second peak has significantly hard spectrum. The spectra of all phases are consistent with power-law plus blackbody model with constant temperature and photon index. When fitted with two blackbody model, we obtained similarly good fit. These results can be interpreted that there are two emission regions with different energy spectra.

Discovery of hard non - thermal pulsed X - ray emission from the anomalous X - ray pulsar 1 E 1841 - 045

We report the discovery of non-thermal pulsed X-ray/soft γ-ray emission up to ∼ 150 keV from the anomalous X-ray pulsar AXP 1E 1841-045 located near the centre of supernova remnant Kes 73 using RXTE PCA and HEXTE data. The morphology of the double-peaked pulse profile changes rapidly with energy from 2 keV up to ∼ 8 keV, above which the pulse shape remains more or less stable. The pulsed spectr...

Multi-colour (JHKS) imaging and photometry of the field of the Anomalous X-ray Pulsar AXP 1E 1841−045 is analysed in the light of new, accurate coordinates from Chandra (Wachter et al, 2004). From excellent quality images, we find multiple sources in and around the position error circle. Of these, none can be confidently identified as the infrared counterpart. The limiting magnitudes reached we...

15 Years Going Steady – Timing the Magnetar 1E 1841-045

We report on a long-term monitoring campaign of 1E 1841−045, the 12-s anomalous X-ray pulsar and magnetar candidate at the center of the supernova remnant Kes73. We have obtained approximately monthly observations of the pulsar with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) spanning over two years, during which time 1E 1841−045 is found to be rotating with sufficient stability to derive a phase-co...

Glitches in Anomalous X-ray Pulsars

We report on 8.7 and 7.6 yr of Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) observations of the Anomalous X-ray Pulsars (AXPs) RXS J170849.0−400910 and 1E 1841−045, respectively. These observations, part of a larger RXTE AXP monitoring program, have allowed us to study the long-term timing, pulsed flux, and pulse profile evolution of these objects. We report on four new glitches, one from RXS J170849.0−4...

We report the discovery of pulsed X-ray emission from the compact source 1E 1841−045, using data obtained with the Advanced Satellite for Cosmology and Astrophysics. The X-ray source is located in the center of the small-diameter supernova remnant (SNR) Kes73 and is very likely to be the compact stellar-remnant of the supernova which formed Kes73. The X-rays are pulsed with a period of ≃ 11.8 s...
