Multiuser MIMO degrees of freedom with no CSIT

چکیده
We provide the characterization of the degrees of freedom (DOF) region for a 2-user fading MIMO broadcast channel when perfect channel knowledge is available to the receivers and no channel knowledge is available to the transmitters. The results are applied to find the DOF region for some special cases of a 2-user MIMO interference channel. We also extend the outerbound of the DOF region to find the capacity region for a specific 2-user MIMO broadcast channel.

A Novel Proof for the DoF Region of the MIMO Broadcast Channel with No CSIT
In this paper, a new proof for the degrees of freedom (DoF) region of the K-user multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) broadcast channel (BC) with no channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) and perfect channel state information at the receivers (CSIR) is provided. Based on this proof, the capacity region of a certain class of MIMO BC with channel distribution information at the trans...

We consider the MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) Gaussian interference channel with i.i.d. fading across antennas and channel uses and with the delayed local channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT). For the two-user case, achievability results for the degrees of freedom (DoF) region of this channel are provided. We also prove the tightness of our achievable DoF region for some...
متن کاملHow Much CSIT Feedback is Necessary for the Multiuser MISO Broadcast Channels?
This work considers the multiuser multiple-input single-output (MISO) broadcast channel (BC), where a transmitter with M antennas transmits information to K single-antenna users, and where as expected the quality and timeliness of channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) is imperfect. Motivated by the fundamental question of how much feedback is necessary to achieve a certain perform...
متن کاملDegrees-of-Freedom Region of the MISO Broadcast Channel with General Mixed-CSIT
In the setting of the two-user broadcast channel, recent work by Maddah-Ali and Tse has shown that knowledge of prior channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) can be useful, even in the absence of any knowledge of current CSIT. Very recent work by Kobayashi et al., Yang et al., and Gou and Jafar, extended this to the case where, instead of no current CSIT knowledge, the transmitter h...
متن کاملDegrees of Freedom in Multiuser MIMO
We explore the available degrees of freedom for various multiuser MIMO communication scenarios such as the multiple access, broadcast, interference, relay, X and Z channels. For the two user MIMO interference channel, we find a general inner bound and a genie-aided outer bound that give us the exact number of degrees of freedom in many cases. We also study a share-and-transmit scheme for transm...
