چکیده

Pulsatile flow of blood through a porous medium has been studied under the influence of periodic body acceleration by considering blood as a couple stress, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid in the presence of magnetic field. An exact solution of the equation of motion is obtained by applying the Laplace and finite Hankel transforms. The expressions for axial velocity, flow rate, fluid acceleration and shear stress have been obtained analytically. The effects of magnetic field, body acceleration and permeability parameter have been discussed with the help of graphs. It is found that the velocity distribution increases with an increase of both body acceleration and permeability of the porous medium, while it decreases as the magnetic parameter increases. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 92B05, 92C10

Slip Effects on the Unsteady MHD Pulsatile Blood Flow through Porous Medium in an Artery under the Effect of Body Acceleration

Unsteady pulsatile flow of blood through porous medium in an artery has been studied under the influence of periodic body acceleration and slip condition in the presence of magnetic field considering blood as an incompressible electrically conducting fluid. An analytical solution of the equation of motion is obtained by applying the Laplace transform. With a view to illustrating the applicabili...

A Computational Analysis of a Two-Fluid non-Linear Mathematical Model of Pulsatile Blood Flow Through Constricted Artery

This paper deals with the pulsatile flow of blood through a stenosed artery with the effect of body acceleration. We have considered the axially non-symmetric mild stenosis & a two layered blood flow with a core region of suspension of all erythrocytes assumed to be a Casson fluid and a peripheral layer of plasma free from cells as a Newtonian fluid. The non-linear differential equations govern...

Mathematical Modeling of Micropolar Blood Flow in a Stenosed Artery Under the Body Acceleration and Magnetic Field

Blood flow is modeled as non-Newtonian micropolar fluid. The non-linear governing equations of continuum and momentum in the cylindrical coordinate are being discretized using a finite difference approach and have been solved iteratively ,through Crank-Nicolson method. The blood velocity distribution, volumetric flow rate and Resistance to blood flow at the stenosis throat are computed for vari...
