Functional Vomiting in Newborn and Premature Infants.

In making a study of the symptom of vomiting in the newborn and premature infant, the descriptions here mentioned and the conclusions drawn are based on observations made in the wards of the Universitiits Kinderklinik and the Maternity Wards of the Peham Frauenklinik at Vienna. Pirquet has instituted a method of recording by means of symbols the exact description of the act of vomiting so that the case sheets give details of the progress of the case in this direction, thus facilitating the study of the cases.
