چکیده

Methods FoxP3+ and CD3+TIL densities were measured as the percentage of immune-reactive area (IRA%) at the tumor invasion front, in a consecutive series of 413 patients (pts) undergone radical surgery for pT3-pT4, stage II (n=211) and III (n=202) CRC, characterized for MS status. Recursive partitioning, as well logistic univariate, interaction, and multivariate analysis were employed for the integrated examination of pathological and immune markers in predicting recurrence.

Morphological Evaluation of Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs) to Investigate Invasive Breast Cancer Immunogenicity, Reveal Lymphocytic Networks and Help Relapse Prediction: A Retrospective Study

Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in breast cancer are a key representative of the tumor immune microenvironment and have been shown to provide prognostic and predictive biomarkers. The extent of lymphocytic infiltration in tumor tissues can be assessed by evaluating hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)-stained tumor sections. We investigated tissue microarrays of 31 invasive breast cancer patie...

Extent and location of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in microsatellite stable colon cancer predict outcome to adjuvant active specific immunotherapy

PURPOSE To determine the prognostic and predictive value of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) in colon cancer in a cohort of patients who previously took part in a trial on adjuvant active specific immunotherapy (ASI). EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN We determined the number and location of CD3 and CD8 positive T cells in archival tumor samples of 106 colon cancers. We correlated stromal and epithelia...

Regulatory T Lymphocytes Are Associated with Less Aggressive Histologic Features in Microsatellite-Unstable Colorectal Cancers

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancers (CRCs) with microsatellite instability (MSI) are associated with a good prognosis and a high density of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs). We have undertaken to determine the link between TIL densities and MSI CRC histologic features. PATIENTS AND METHODS Using tissue microarrays, T-cell sub-population infiltration, including T cells (CD3), cytotoxic T cells ...

بررسی اثر شیمی درمانی کمکی در مرحله IIکانسرهای کولورکتال

Background: Colorectal cancer is the most common malignant gastrointestinal cancer and the fourth most common cancer throughout the world. Disease staging is performed to select the treatment method. In this interventional study we evaluated the effect of adjuvant chemotherapy on local recurrence, distant metastasis and three-year disease free survival in patients with stage 2 colorectal cancer...

Expressions of CD8+TILs, PD-L1 and Foxp3+TILs in stage I NSCLC guiding adjuvant chemotherapy decisions

PURPOSE Currently, adjuvant chemotherapy is recommended for patients with high risk stage I non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, identifying high risk patients remains a challenge. This study aims to identify the patient cohorts more likely to benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy based on the tumor micro-immune environment. RESULTS CD8+TILs significantly associated with disease-free sur...
