The Dualizing Spectrum

چکیده
To an inclusion H ⊂ G of topological groups, we associate a spectrum DH⊂G, which coincides with the dualizing spectrum DG of [K4] when H = G. We also introduce a fibered spectrum analogue. The main application is to give a purely homotopy theoretic construction of Poincaré embeddings in stable codimension.

The dualizing spectrum of a topological group
To a topological group G, we assign a naive G-spectrum DG, called the dualizing spectrum of G. When the classifying space BG is finitely dominated, we show that DG detects Poincaré duality in the sense that BG is a Poincaré duality space if and only ifDG is a homotopy finite spectrum. Secondly, we show that the dualizing spectrum behavesmultiplicatively on certain topological group extensions. ...
متن کاملGorenstein homological dimensions with respect to a semi-dualizing module over group rings
Let R be a commutative noetherian ring and Γ a finite group. In this paper,we study Gorenstein homological dimensions of modules with respect to a semi-dualizing module over the group ring . It is shown that Gorenstein homological dimensions of an -RΓ module M with respect to a semi-dualizing module, are equal over R and RΓ .
متن کاملRIGID DUALIZING COMPLEXES
Let $X$ be a sufficiently nice scheme. We survey some recent progress on dualizing complexes. It turns out that a complex in $kinj X$ is dualizing if and only if tensor product with it induces an equivalence of categories from Murfet's new category $kmpr X$ to the category $kinj X$. In these terms, it becomes interesting to wonder how to glue such equivalences.
متن کاملOn Matlis Dualizing Modules
We consider rings admitting a Matlis dualizing module E. We argue that if R admits two such dualizing modules, then a module is reflexive with respect to one if and only if it is reflexive with respect to the other. Using this fact we argue that the number (whether finite or infinite) of distinct dualizing modules equals the number of distinct invertible (R,R)-bimodules. We show by example that...
متن کاملCOHEN-MACAULAY HOMOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS WITH RESPECT TO AMALGAMATED DUPLICATION
In this paper we use "ring changed'' Gorenstein homologicaldimensions to define Cohen-Macaulay injective, projective and flatdimensions. For doing this we use the amalgamated duplication of thebase ring with semi-dualizing ideals. Among other results, we prove that finiteness of these new dimensions characterizes Cohen-Macaulay rings with dualizing ideals.
