A typical explicit rate switch scheme monitors the load on a link and gives feedback to the sources. The overload factor is de ned ratio of rate of input to link capacity. The switch schemes proposed use the overload factor to calculate feedback rates. A dynamic queue control mechanism is used to control queues and achieve constant queuing delay at steady state. The algorithms proposed are studied and compared using di erent con gurations. ************************************************************************************** Source: Bobby Vandalore, Sonia Fahmy, Raj Jain, Rohit Goyal, Mukul Goyal The Ohio State University Department of Computer and Information Science Columbus, OH 43210-1277 Contact Phone: 614-292-3989, Fax: 614-292-2911 E-mail: fvandalor,[email protected] This presentation of this contribution is sponsored by NASA Lewis Research Center. ************************************************************************************** Date: February 1998 ************************************************************************************** Distribution: ATM Forum Technical Working Group Members (AF-TM) ************************************************************************************** Notice: This contribution has been prepared to assist the ATM Forum. A New Class of Low-Cost Three-Phase High-Quality Rectifiers with Zero-Voltage Switching
Several new schemes for constructing 3 lowharmonic rectifiers are introduced here. These 3 ac–dc topologies are derived from parent dc–dc converter topologies. With a single active switch featuring the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) property in addition to the diode-rectifier bridge, the rectifiers are capable of naturally drawing approximately sinusoidal input-current waveforms at nearly unity p...
متن کاملSchemes for Multiple Description Coding of Stereoscopic Video
This paper presents and compares two multiple description schemes for coding of stereoscopic video, which are based on H.264. The SS-MDC scheme exploits spatial scaling of one view. In case of one channel failure, SS-MDC can reconstruct the stereoscopic video with one view low-pass filtered. SS-MDC can achieve low redundancy (less than 10%) for video sequences with lower inter-view correlation....
متن کاملSwitch Mechanisms for the ABR Service: A Comparison Study
While lots of effort is done on behalf of the ATM Forum and the ITU standardisation bodies in specifying the user network interface (UNI) for ATM’s available bit rate (ABR) service the specification of the switch mechanisms will be left to the manufacturers. In this study some of the algorithms proposed for dynamically distributing the available bandwidth at the switches such as EPRCA, CAPC, th...

متن کاملConduction and Dead-Time Voltage Drops Estimation of Asymmetric Cascaded H-Bridge Converters Utilizing Level-Shifted PWM Scheme
Linear AC power supplies can be replaced by their nonlinear switching counterparts due to the lower voltage drops and higher efficiency and power density of switching-mode inverters. Multilevel cascaded H-bridge (CHB) converters are the preferred inverter structure because of modular configuration, control, and protection. The output voltage quality in CHB converters depends on the number of ou...
