چکیده

I n the article by Rautaharju et al, “Electrocardiographic Repolarization-Related Variables as Predictors of Coronary Heart Disease Death in the Women’s Health Initiative Study,” which published online July 28, 2014, and appeared in the August 2014 issue of the journal (J Am Heart Assoc. 2014;3:e001005 doi:10.1161/JAHA.114.001005), two equations appeared incorrectly on page 3, left column, first full paragraph. The expressions for RTepi and RTxd read “RTepi=QTpa (1 CosѲ(Tp|Tref)9(TpTxd))/2” and “RTxd=QTpa (1+CosѲ(Tp|Tref)9(TpTxd))/2.” These have been corrected to read “RTepi=QTpa+(CosѲ(Tp|Tref) 1)9(Tp|Tref)9(TpTxd)/2” and “RTxd=QTpa+(CosѲ(Tp|Tref)+1)9(Tp|Tref)9(TpTxd)/2.” The authors regret these errors. The online version of the article has been updated and is available at http://jaha.ahajournals.org/content/3/4/e001005.

Electrocardiographic abnormalities that predict coronary heart disease events and mortality in postmenopausal women: the Women's Health Initiative.

BACKGROUND Information is limited about the independent prognostic value of repolarization abnormalities in women. METHODS AND RESULTS We evaluated hazard ratios for ECG variables for combined fatal and nonfatal coronary heart disease (CHD) events and for CHD mortality using Cox regression in 38,283 Women's Health Initiative (WHI) participants during up to 9.2 years of follow-up. All risk mod...

Electrocardiographic Repolarization‐Related Variables as Predictors of Coronary Heart Disease Death in the Women's Health Initiative Study

BACKGROUND We evaluated 25 repolarization-related ECG variables for the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) death in 52 994 postmenopausal women from the Women's Health Initiative study. METHODS AND RESULTS Hazard ratios from Cox regression were computed for subgroups of women with and without cardiovascular disease (CVD). During the average follow-up of 16.9 years, 941 CHD deaths occurred. ...

Electrocardiographic predictors of incident congestive heart failure and all-cause mortality in postmenopausal women: the Women's Health Initiative.

BACKGROUND Information is limited about ECG predictors of the risk of incident congestive heart failure (CHF), particularly in women without overt manifestations of cardiovascular disease (CVD). METHODS AND RESULTS We evaluated hazard ratios for incident CHF and all-cause mortality using Cox regression in 38,283 participants of the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) during a 9-year follow-up. Al...

Electrocardiographic Predictors of Coronary Heart Disease and Sudden Cardiac Deaths in Men and Women Free From Cardiovascular Disease in the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study

BACKGROUND We evaluated predictors of coronary heart disease (CHD) death and sudden cardiac death (SCD) in the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study. METHODS AND RESULTS The study population included 13 621 men and women 45 to 65 years of age free from manifest cardiovascular disease at entry. Hazard ratios from Cox regression with 95% confidence intervals were computed for 18 dich...

The relationship between religion and cardiovascular outcomes and all-cause mortality in the Women's Health Initiative Observational Study.

Some studies suggest that religiosity may be related to health outcomes. The current investigation, involving 92,395 Women's Health Initiative Observational Study participants, examined the prospective association of religious affiliation, religious service attendance, and strength and comfort from religion with subsequent cardiovascular outcomes and death. Baseline characteristics and response...
