چکیده

This work presents anapplication of the agent echnology to the simtdation i the robotic domain. A group of robots cooperate with each other to simulate a large surface which as a labyrinth structure. A robot is represented as a specialist agent which as for task to recognize di~erent paths characterizing thisurface. The application s supported bya hybrid and hierarchical architecture model called MAGIQUE I. The interactions between robots are managed by supervisor agents which ave a global vision of the labyrinth. T e explored parts of the labyrinth are hold at a blackboard structure managed by the supervisor. Agents can communicate ither directly by message-passing or indirectly via their supervisor. The paper begins by describing the application and presents different constraints related to the move of the robots. It discusses how the application is implemented in a distributed programming environment and presents also the practical constraints faced in the instantiation of the model. The application addresses also an issue related to the load balancing between robots. Finally, it concludes by investigating a set of issues to explore. Topic Area: Multiagent systems

Effective Mechatronic Models and Methods for Implementation an Autonomous Soccer Robot

Omni directional mobile robots have been popularly employed in several applications especially in soccer player robots considered in Robocup competitions. However, Omni directional navigation system, Omni-vision system and solenoid kicking mechanism in such mobile robots have not ever been combined. This situation brings the idea of a robot with no head direction into existence, a comprehensi...

Analysis of Multi-Robots Transportation with Multi-objective PSO Algorithm in an Artificial Capital Market

In this paper, to analyze the transport of autonomous robots, an artificial Capital market is used. Capital market is considered as a pier which loading and unloading of cargo is done. Autonomous robots load and unload from the ship to the warehouse wharf or vice versa. All the robots have the ability of transporting the loads, but depending on loads and the location of unloading (or loading) a...

Identification of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Dynamic Using Extended Kalman Filter with ARMA Noise Model

In the procedure of designing an underwater vehicle or robot, its maneuverability and controllability must be simulated and tested, before the product is finalized for manufacturing. Since the hydrodynamic forces and moments highly affect the dynamic and maneuverability of the system, they must be estimated with a reasonable accuracy. In this study, hydrodynamic coefficients of an autonomous un...

Learning to Rendezvous during Multi-agent Explo- ration

We consider the problem of rendezvous between two robots collaborating in learning the layout of an unknown environment. That is, how can two autonomous exploring agents that cannot communicate with one another over long distances meet if they start exploring at di erent locations in an unknown environment. The intended application is collaborative map exploration. Ours is the rst work to forma...
