چکیده

Introduction. Typically, investment in petroleum exploration and development yields a joint product: reserves of oil and natural gas. The reserve additions are separable, but the expenditures generating reserve additions cannot be neatly partitioned between the two hydrocarbon sources.

Comprehensive Studies on Production Data Analysis of Hydrocarbon Reservoirs

A review of field production data reveals that usually, it is very difficult to apply available decline models because of poor quality and often noisy character of initial data and also unrealistic assumptions of the models. This paper tries to introduce applicable procedures to correct initial data and reproduce missed data. Corrected data are analyzed and finally, the results for permeability...

An Integrated Aggregate Production Planning Model with Two-Phase Production System and Maintenance Costs

Aggregate production planning (APP) is one of the most important issues carried out in manufacturing environments which seeks efficient planning, scheduling and coordination of all production activities that optimizes the company's objectives. In this paper, we develop a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model for an integrated aggregate production planning system with closed loop supply ...

Nonconvex Factor Adjustments in Equilibrium Business Cycle Models: Do Nonlinearities Matter?

Recent empirical analysis has found nonlinearities to be important in understanding aggregated investment. Using an equilibrium business cycle model, we search for aggregate nonlinearities arising from the introduction of nonconvex capital adjustment costs. We find that, while such costs lead to nontrivial nonlinearities in aggregate investment demand, equilibrium investment is effectively unch...

Cooperative aggregate production planning: a game theory approach

Production costs in general, and workforce and inventory costs in particular, constitute a large fraction of the operating costs of many manufacturing plants. We introduce cooperative aggregate production planning as a way to decrease these costs. That is, when production planning of two or more facilities (plants) is integrated, they can interchange workforce and products inventory; thus, thei...

Idiosyncratic Risk and Aggregate Employment Dynamics

This paper studies how producers’ idiosyncratic risks impact aggregate employment dynamics when there is a trade-off between workers’ productivity and costs of job creation and destruction. In our analysis, increasing idiosyncratic risk induces producers to move workers out of structured jobs that are costly to create and destroy and into less-productive but more-flexible unstructured positions...
