چکیده

The penetration depth ( ) dependence on temperatures for high superconducting YBa2Cu3O7 thin films stored in various environments was measured by a well-designed microwave dielectric resonator. A -wave 2 dependence was observed at low temperatures, while an exponential dependence of the penetration depth ( ) relevant to the wave was detected as temperature increases due to thermal fluctuation. An abnormal upturn of the penetration depth at temperatures below 10 K attributed to the surface current carried by the defect surface-induced Andreev bound states can be apparently observed without applying heavy-ion bombardment from this relatively higher frequency measurement. Readers who endeavor to start this kind of measurement can use the well-modified dielectric cavity in conjunction with the detailed measuring procedure.

Measurement of the absolute penetration depth and surface resistance of superconductors and normal metals with the variable spacing parallel plate resonator

The variable spacing parallel plate resonator ~VSPPR! is a microwave transmission line resonator with a continuously variable thickness of the dielectric spacer between the superconducting or metallic plates, filled by cryogenic liquid or vacuum. We measure the dielectric spacer thickness dependencies of the resonator frequency and quality factor, and fit them to theoretical forms, in order to ...

Energy gap, penetration depth, and surface resistance of MgB2 thin films determined by microwave resonator measurements

We have measured the temperature dependence of the microwave surface impedance Zs5Rs1ivm0l of two c-axis oriented MgB2 films employing dielectric resonator techniques. The temperature dependence of the magnetic-field penetration depth l determined by a sapphire dielectric resonator at 17.9 GHz can be well fitted from 5 K close to Tc by the standard BCS integral expression assuming the reduced e...

A Novel and Accurate Method for the Design of Dielectric

The development of numerical techniques now permits us to analyze complex structures such as dielectric resonator filters and planar passive elements for coplanar monolithic microwave integrated circuits. In this paper, we describe a novel method for designing dielectric resonator filters. Then a Chebychev band pass filter is designed by coaxially placing high-Q TM01Q dielectric resonators ...

Fluctuations in the microwave conductivity of YBa2Cu3O7- delta single crystals in zero dc magnetic field.

We present a quantitative analysis of finite frequency fluctuation conductivity above and below Tc in cuprate superconductors in zero dc magnetic field. In a YBa2Cu3O72d crystal showing a linear in temperature increase of the penetration depth at low temperatures, we find that two-dimensional ~2D! finite frequency Gaussian conductivity fluctuations above Tc cross over into a slower divergence o...

Dielectric properties of salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) and sturgeon (Acipenser transmontanus) caviar at radio frequency (RF) and microwave (MW) pasteurization frequencies

Radio frequency (RF) and microwave (MW) heating provide an important advantage of more rapid heat penetration in pasteurization processes for heat labile high value foods, which to date, have only been pasteurized by conductive heating. The objectives of this work were to determine the dielectric constant, loss factor and power penetration depth for salmon (0.8% and 2.3% total salt) and sturgeo...
