In December 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it had completed its “risk assessment” on food from animal clones. Our report, “Not Ready for Prime Time: FDA’s Flawed Approach to Assessing the Safety of Food from Animal Clones” analyzes FDA’s risk assessment and its conclusion (stated in the Agency’s press release) that FDA “finds that meat and milk from clones of adult cattle, pigs and goats, and their offspring, are as safe to eat as food from conventionally bred animals.”
