Solution of Systems of Functional Di erential Equations With State Dependent Delays

چکیده

This report discusses a mathematical software package DKLAG5 which consists of a suite of FORTRAN subroutines for the numerical solution of systems of functional di erential equations with state dependent delays. The package implements continuously imbedded Runge{ Kutta methods which are based on C polynomial interpolants. These interpolants are exploited by the software to handle the necessary interpolations for delayed solution values. The interpolants are used also to handle the root nding associated with locating the points of derivative discontinuity inherent in the solution of delay equations. In addition, they are used to handle other root nding tasks in a manner similar to several well{known ordinary di erential equation solvers. Basic features of the software and usage requirements for the software are discussed. The capabilities of the software are illustrated using several examples with di erent types of delays.
