The network autocorrelation model using two-mode data: Affiliation exposure and potential bias in the autocorrelation parameter

چکیده
The network autocorrelation model has been a workhorse for modeling network influences on individual behavior. The standard network approaches to mapping social influence using network measures, however, are limited to specifying an influence weight matrix (W) based on a single mode network. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that the estimate of the autocorrelation parameter of the network effect tends to be negatively biased as the density in W matrix increases. The current study

Traffic Condition Detection in Freeway by using Autocorrelation of Density and Flow
Traffic conditions vary over time, and therefore, traffic behavior should be modeled as a stochastic process. In this study, a probabilistic approach utilizing Autocorrelation is proposed to model the stochastic variation of traffic conditions, and subsequently, predict the traffic conditions. Using autocorrelation of the time series samples of density and flow which are collected from segments...
متن کاملPerformance Evaluation of ARIMA Hybrid Models in the Prediction of Daily Electrical Conductivity (A Case Study of Telazang Hydrometric Station)
In this study, we used the ARIMA time series model, the fuzzy-neural inference network, multi-layer perceptron artificial neural network, and ARIMA-ANN, ARIMA-ANFIS hybrid models for the modeling and prediction of the daily electrical conductivity parameter of daily teleZang hydrometric station over the statistical period of 49 years. For this purpose, the daily data for the 1996-2004 period we...
متن کاملProcess Capability Analysis in the Presence of Autocorrelation
The classical method of process capability analysis necessarily assumes that collected data are independent; nonetheless, some processes such as biological and chemical processes are autocorrelated and violate the independency assumption. Many processes exhibit a certain degree of correlation and can be treated by autoregressive models, among which the autoregressive model of order one (AR (1))...
متن کاملBayesian estimation of the network autocorrelation model
The network autocorrelation model has been extensively used by researchers interested modeling social influence effects in social networks. The most common inferential method in the model is classical maximum likelihood estimation. This approach, however, has known problems such as negative bias of the network autocorrelation parameter and poor coverage of confidence intervals. In this paper, w...
متن کاملتجمع بیماری در مقیاسی وسیع و کاربرد آن در مطالعات اپیدمیولوژی و بهداشت
Spatial autocorrelation statistics provide summary information about the spatial arrangement of data in a map. In fact, these statistics compare neighboring area values in order to assess the level of large scale clustering. Whenever a large number of neighboring areas have either relatively large or relatively small values, large scale clustering may be detected. Detecting such clustering is a...
