The pictures convey the spirit of the text which describes an ordinary couple and the way they adopted two children to complete their family. Even the social worker is shown in a sympathetic light and the subject of adoption is treated without sentimentality. Miss Kornitzer has made for herself a unique position by her books on adoption.
