sustain traumatic brain injuries due to blunt force trauma. Cervical spinal injury should be suspected in any trauma patient with loss of consciousness. This chapter discusses the presentation, classification, radiographic characteristics, and management options for cervical spinal injuries, grouped by injuries of the craniocervical junction and injuries of the subaxial cervical spine.
