چکیده

Bisimulations are a broadly used formalism to deene the semantics of process algebras. In particular, by means of weak bisimulation most of the internal activity of processes may be abstracted. Unfortunately, this is not fully accomplished: for instance, the internal choice operator becomes non-associative since bisimulation can see the branching structure of processes. In this paper we propose global timed bisimulation as a weakening of weak timed bisimulation. Global timed bisimulation is deened exactly as weak timed bisimulation once ordinary transitions are replaced by the adequate notions of generalized transitions. In order to asses the deenition of our global timed bisimulation we present a collection of small examples that illustrate each of the clauses of that deenition. Finally, a more elaborated example is presented to summarize the main properties of that notion. 1. INTRODUCTION Operational semantics is probably the simplest and more intuitive way to give semantics to any process language. It is usually deened by means of a labeled transition system which contains the transitions, P l ?! P 0 that each process can execute. But these semantics are not abstract enough since they contain the full information about the syntax of processes. Bisimulations 9] are the usual way to solve this problem, by deening a slightly weaker equivalence which is a rather reasonable, simple and nice way to deene the semantics of non-deterministic processes.

A Global Timed Bisimulation Preserving Abstraction for Parametric Time-Interval Automata

In the development of real-time (communicating) hardware or embedded-software systems, it is frequently the case that we want to refine/optimize the system’s internal behavior while preserving the external timed I/O behavior (that is, the interface protocol). In such a design refinement, modification of the systems’ internal branching structures, as well as re-scheduling of internal actions, ma...

Simulation and Bisimulation for Probabilistic Timed Automata

Probabilistic timed automata are an extension of timed automata with discrete probability distributions. Simulation and bisimulation relations are widely-studied in the context of the analysis of system models, with applications in the stepwise development of systems and in model reduction. In this paper, we study probabilistic timed simulation and bisimulation relations for probabilistic timed...

Efficient Scaling-Invariant Checking of Timed Bisimulation

Bisimulation is an important notion for the veriication of distributed systems. Timed bisimulation is its natural extension to real time systems. Timed bisimulation is known to be decidable for timed au-tomata using the so-called region technique. We present a new, top down approach to timed bisimulation which applies the zone technique from the theory of hybrid systems. In contrast to the orig...

A Complete Axiomatization of Timed Bisimulation for a Class of Timed Regular Behaviours

One of the most satisfactory results in process theory is Milner’s axiomatization of strong bisimulation for regular CCS. This result holds for open terms with finite-state recursion. Wang has shown that timed bisimulation can also be axiomatized, but only for closed terms without recursion. In this paper, we provide an axiomatization for timed bisimulation of open terms with finite-state recur...

Weak bisimulation for Probabilistic Timed Automata

We are interested in describing timed systems that exhibit probabilistic behaviour. To this purpose, we consider a model of Probabilistic Timed Automata and introduce a concept of weak bisimulation for these automata, together with an algorithm to decide it. The weak bisimulation relation is shown to be preserved when either time, or probability is abstracted away. As an application, we use wea...
