چکیده
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) is wireless network without infrastructure, where every node functions as transmitter, router and data sink. As many previous works have shown that the routing performance is greatly dependent on the availability and stability of wireless links. With the growth of the Internet services, Voice over IP (VoIP) has been playing a key role in cutting the costs of telephone calls. It can be seen that since demand of VoIP over wireless network is growing, use of VoIP over Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is expected to grow as well. This paper aims to compare performance of three routing protocols for Mobile Ad-Hoc networks (MANET’s). Since routing is a critical issue in MANET, so the focus of this paper along is the performance analysis of routing protocols. We compared three routing protocols i.e. AODV, OLSR and TORA and its simulated in OPNET modeller tool. The performance of these routing protocols is analyzed by five matrices: delay, network load and throughput, jitter, mean opinion score. All the three routing protocols are explained on a deeper level with matrices. The comparative study of protocols will be conducted and in the last the conclusion will be presented as to which routing protocol is the best one for mobile ad hoc networks. The final valuation is presented at the end of this paper. Keywords— MANET, AODV, OLSR, TORA, OPNET, VOIP

Comparative Performance Analysis of AODV,DSR, TORA and OLSR Routing Protocols in MANET Using OPNET
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are receiving a significant interest and are becoming very popular in the world of wireless networks and telecommunication. MANETs consist of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other without any infrastructure or centralized administration. In MANETs, the movement of nodes is unpredictable and complex; thus making the routing of the packets challenging....

Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) applications such as multimedia applications, audio/video conferencing, VOIP and webcasting need uninterrupted, stringent and inflexible Quality of Service (QoS). The provision of QoS guarantees in MANET is more challenging and difficult than wired network because of node mobility, lack of centralized control and a limited power supply. A lot of researches have bee...
متن کاملImproving Quality of Service Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using OLSR
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are constructed by mobile nodes without access point. Since MANET has certain constraints, including power shortages, an unstable wireless environment and node mobility, more power-efficient and reliable routing protocols are needed. The OLSR protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm. OLSR introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint r...

In mobile ad hoc networks, the absence ofinfrastructure and the consequent absence of authorizationfacilities impede the usual practice of establishing a practicalcriterion to distinguishing nodes as trusted and distrusted.Since all nodes in the MANETs would be used as router inmulti-hop applications, secure routing protocols have vital rulein the security of the network. So evaluating the perf...
