چکیده

Kinetics of the title reaction has been carried out by studying the reaction spectrophotometrically at 80 oC and pH 5.0 in presence of cationic gemini (alkanediyl-α, ωbis(dimethylhexadecylammonium bromide)) surfactants. The reaction followed first-order kinetics in [Zn(II)-Gly-Tyr]T complex and fractional-order kinetics in [ninhydrin]T. Typical rate constant (kΨ) increase and leveling-off regions (like conventional monomeric surfactants, e.g., CTAB) are found with gemini surfactants. Additionally, the gemini surfactants also produced a third region of increasing kΨ at higher concentrations. The data are interpreted in terms of pseudo-phase model (assuming the association/incorporation of both the reactants at the micellar surface).

Synthesis of Zinc Dimethyldithiocarbamate by Reductive Disulfide Bond Cleavage of Tetramethylthiuram Disulfide in Presence of Zn2+

The zinc(II) complex [Zn2(dmdtc)2(μ-dmdtc)2] has been synthesized directly from thiram ligand, containing a disulfide bond {dmdtc = N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamate; thiram = N,N-tetramethylthiuram disulfide}, and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. Surprisingly thiram, undergoes a reductive disulfide bond scission upon reaction with Zn2+ in methanolic media to give the [Z...

Kinetic evidence for the formation of a Michaelis-Menten-like complex between horseradish peroxidase compound II and di-(N-acetyl-L-tyrosine).

The formation of a reversible adsorption complex between a dimer of N-acetyl-L-tyrosine [di-(N-acetyl-L-tyrosine), (NAT)2] and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) compound II (CII) was demonstrated using a kinetic approach. A specific KIIm value (0.58 mM) was deduced for this step from stopped-flow measurements. The dimerization of the dipeptide Gly-Tyr was analysed at the steady state and compared wi...
