Chromogranins in sympathetic nerves

چکیده
In post-ganglionic sympathetic neurons, biochemical and electron-microscopical evidence indicate that noradrenaline is stored within granules which, although smaller, resemble adrenal medullary chromaffin granules in some respects. This resemblance between neuronal and adrenal medullary granules has been extended by immunological and enzymic investigations which show that sympathetic nerve granules contain the proteins chromogranin A and dopamine /^-hydroxylase which characteristically occur in chromaffin granules.

Positional Relationship between Natural Killer Cells and Distribution of Sympathetic Nerves in Decidualized Mouse Uterus
Background: Uterine natural killer (uNK) cells are the most abundant leukocytes in pre-implantation endometrium and early pregnancy deciduas in humans and rodents. They are associated with structural changes in maternal spiral arteries but regulation of their re-cruitment and activation is incompletely understood. The major subpopulation of uNK cells in humans expresses CD56, the neural cell ad...

متن کاملIs physiologic sympathoadrenal catecholamine release exocytotic in humans?
In cultured cells and isolated perfused organs, catecholamines are coreleased with chromogranin A (CgA) from adrenal chromaffin cells and sympathetic neurons. The corelease suggests that exocytosis is the mechanism of catecholamine secretion. To investigate whether physiologic catecholamine secretion is exocytotic in humans, we measured plasma norepinephrine, epinephrine, and CgA responses to d...
متن کاملMacrostructure of the Cranial Cervical Ganglion in the River Buffalo (Bubalus Bubalis)
The autonomic nervous system consists of a vast range of nerves and ganglions. Anatomical studies have demonstrated that the sympathetic innervations of the head and neck are affected by the neurons that ramify from the cranial cervical ganglion (CCG). The CCG is the end of the sympathetic cervical trunk, which runs with the vagal nerve during its cervical course. In this study sixteen adult (2...
متن کاملThe Effect of Chronic Inflammation on Knee Joint Vascular β-adrenoceptors in Rabbit
It has been shown that inflammation reduces the effectiveness of sympathetic nerves in the regulation of knee joint blood flow, and the joint vascular- ß adrenoceptors are changed due to acute inflammation from a majority of ß-1 to an equality of ß-1 and ß-2 receptors.. To investigate the role of sympathetic nerves in nerve induced vasoconstriction and changes in joint vascular ß-adrenoceptors ...
