چکیده
The present status of neutron-proton scattering in the energy range from 20-70 MeV is reviewed. The data base covers total cross sections, differential cross sections and polarization observables. The efforts after 1980 did largely cnncentrate on precision measurements of the differential cross sections and accurate vector analyzing powers, using polarized neutron beams. Because of correlations between various phase parameters in the phase-shift analyses of scattering observables, neutron-proton spin-spin correlation parameters have been measured at various laboratories. These measurements employed besides a polarized neutron beam in addition a polarized hydrogen target. For completeness, some representative neutron-proton capture data are included.

Proc. Specialists' Meeting on the Nucleon Nucleus Optical Model up to 200 MeV (Bruyères-le-Chatel, France, 13-15 Nov. 1996) (Romain)
The dispersive optical model approach to nucleon scattering is extended from spherical nuclei to permanently deformed nuclei for the rst time. Here, a dispersive coupled channels analysis of proton and neutron scattering and reaction cross sections is presented for Ta and W for incident energies up to 200 MeV. A very good overall agreement between experimental data and predictions is achieved u...

The neutron induced nuclear data for Eu-153 were calculated and evaluated from 1 keV to 20 MeV using Ecis-Empire code combination. The energy dependent optical model potential by Macklin and Young was applied up to 20 MeV. An optical model, the full featured Hauser-Feshbach model, the multistep direct and multistep compound model were used in the calculation. The theoretically calculated cross ...
متن کاملFission Fragment Angular Distribution measurements of 235U and 238U at CERN n_TOF facility
Neutron-induced fission cross sections of 238U and 235U are used as standards in the fast neutron region up to 200 MeV. A high accuracy of the standards is relevant to experimentally determine other neutron reaction cross sections. Therefore, the detection efficiency should be corrected by using the angular distribution of the fission fragments (FFAD), which are barely known above 20 MeV. In ad...
متن کاملMeasurements of Cross-sections of the Neutron Threshold Reactions and Their Usage in High Energy Neutron Measurements at “energy plus Transmutation”
We measured neutron cross-sections of various threshold reactions using different quasimonoenergetic neutron sources. Our motivation for the cross-section measurements comes from the "Energy plus Transmutation" project. In this international project we use neutron activation foils for measurements of high energy neutron field, which is produced during the proton or deuteron irradiation of a thi...
متن کاملNeutron cross-sections and kerma values for carbon, nitrogen and oxygen from 20 to 50 MeV.
The advent of high energy neutron radiotherapy will require the neutron cross-section data and kerma factors for elements of biomedical importance to be extended up to and possibly above 50 MeV. Nuclear model calculations have been employed to produce a set of neutron cross-sections for C, N and O from 20 to 50 MeV. The strategy employed involves the optical model fitting of experimental total ...
