Mesh Currents and Josephson Junction Arrays
نویسنده
چکیده
A simple but accurate mesh current analysis is performed on a XY model and on a SIMF model to derive the equations for a Josephson junction array. The equations obtained here turn out to be different from other equations already existing in the literature. Moreover, it is shown that the two models come from a unique hidden structure. ∗e-mail address: [email protected] ∗∗revised on May, 1996

Row-switched states in two-dimensional underdamped Josephson junction arrays
When magnetic flux moves across layered or granular superconductor structures, the passage of vortices can take place along channels which develop finite voltage, while the rest of the material remains in the zero-voltage state. We present analytical studies of an example of such mixed dynamics: the row-switched (RS) states in underdamped two-dimensional Josephson arrays, driven by a uniform DC...
متن کامل0 Resonances in one and two rows of triangular Josephson junction cells
We present an experimental and analytical study of resonances in the current-voltage characteristics of single and double row triangular Josephson arrays. The magnetic field dependences of the voltage positions of the resonances have been measured for various cell inductances and junction critical currents. In double row arrays, we have observed a peculiar resonance, whose voltage position decr...
متن کاملFiske modes in one-dimensional parallel Josephson-junction arrays.
Vortices play a central role in determining the static and dynamic properties of two-dimensional (20) superconductors. Artificially fabricated networks of superconducting islands weakly coupled by Josephson junctions are model systems to study the behavior of vortices. Studies of vortices in Josephson junction arrays generally neglect the magnetic fields induced by currents flowing in the array...
متن کاملCubic structures of Josephson coupled superconducting spheres: three-dimensional models of granular superconductors (*)
The transport critical current in high-Tc superconducting systems is considerably limited by the microstructural characteristics of these materials [1]. Indeed, if we schematize these systems as a collection of weakly-coupled superconducting islands, we may adopt Josephson junction network models to describe their electrodynamic response. With the aid of these models one can show that the maxim...
متن کاملNew elements for analysis of series arrays of superconducting junctions for submillimeter heterodyne detection
Some specific features of series arrays of superconducting junctions used as mixing elements in radioastronomical spectroscopy are analysed. The influence of the area and insulating bamer inhomogeneities between the different junctions is examined with a simple and accurate technique. It uses the variation of the maximum Josephson currents of the individual junctions as a function of an applied...
