چکیده
Talmi's method of calculating coefficients of fractional parentage to states forbidden by the Pauli principle. Abstract In a previous work we studied the effects of setting all two body T=0 matrix elements to zero in shell model calculations for 43 Ti (43 Sc) and 44 Ti. The results for 44 Ti were surprisingly good despite the severity of this approximation. We found degeneracies in this approximation eg the T=

The effect of setting all T=0 two body interaction matrix elements equal to a constant (or zero) in shell model calculations (designated as < T = 0 >= 0) are investigated. Despite the apparent severity of such a procedure, one gets fairly reasonable spectra. We find that using < T = 0 >= 0 in single j shell calculations degeneracies appear e.g. the I =

Abstract In the nuclear f7/2 shell, the nucleon–nucleon interaction can be represented by the eight values E(J) = 〈(f2 7/2) J |V |(f2 7/2) J〉, J = 0, 1, · · · , 7, where for even J the isospin is 1, and for odd J it is 0. If we set the T = 0 (odd J) two-body matrix elements to zero (or to a constant), we find several degeneracies which we attempt to explain in this work. We also give more detai...
متن کامل2 . the Hamiltonian for the Motion of a Charged Particle in a Magnetic
Charged particle motion in a second-order magnetic optical achromat is described using a canonical perturbation theory. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such a device are presented. Given these conditions, the second-order matrix elements at the end of the achromat are found explicitly. It is shown that all geometric matrix elements are equal to zero and all chromatic ma...
متن کاملDegeneracies in trapped two-component Fermi gases.
We report on previously unobserved intersystem degeneracies in two-component equal-mass Fermi gases with interspecies zero-range interactions under isotropic harmonic confinement. Over the past 10 years, two-component Fermi gases consisting of n1 spin-up and n2 spin-down atoms with interspecies zero-range interactions have become a paradigm for modeling condensed matter systems, nuclear matter,...
