Compobond : Evolution of a new restorative dental material

چکیده
adhesive (green). _Besides the physical and mechanical properties of dental amalgam, one of the main reasons for its success is its clinical simplicity and forgiving technique. The derisory “drill and fill” slogan associated with dental treatment pertinently describes the provision of an amalgam restoration. The usual protocol for amalgam restorations is a single-stage procedure. Following decay excavation and tooth preparation, amalgam is placed directly into the cavity and anatomically curved and burnished. In addition, amalgam restorations are relatively technique insensitive, have favourable wear resistance and high strength, are inexpensive and the postoperative expansion of the material helps “seal” cavity margins.

Gradual wear of opposing teeth is a normal phenomenon in human dentition. To ensure a better quality of life through better dental health, there is a need for quality dental restorative materials to repair or replace natural teeth. Several aspects are looked at when designing a proper dental implant. Aesthetics, durability, and integration with the supporting teeth and soft tissues are some key...
متن کاملDevelopment of a new direct core build-up method using a hollow fiber-reinforced post.
We have developed a new direct construction method for core build-up starting with the hypothesis that an improvement in pullout strength and a decrease in the number of voids in the restorative material will become possible by filling a hollow fiber reinforced post with the restorative material from the bottom of the root canal. For the pullout test, the hollow post was fixed to the head of a ...
