Hazards oftransborder transmission oftrichinellosis and echinococcosis

چکیده
Introduction At present the occurrence of zoonoses has serious impact on the agriculture and economy of European countries. On, using the example of two zoonoses, trichinellosis and alveolar echinococcosis, we want to show different causes and various means of their spreading and resulting hazard on humans. These helminthozoonoses have been chosen for increasing occurrence of their agents in domestic or wildlife animals in Europe. Humans get infected with trichinellosis quite frequently, taking into account that meat of domestic or wildlife animals is the source of infection. Despite the large spread of Echinococcus multilocularis in red foxes in many countries of Central Europe, the occurrence of alveolar echinococcosis in humans is rare.

The emergence of echinococcosis in central Asia.
SUMMARY Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, there was an increase in the number of cases of human echinococcosis recorded throughout central Asia. Between 1991 and 2001 incidence rates of cystic echinococcosis (CE) increased by 4 fold or more. There also appeared to be increases in prevalence of CE in livestock and prevalences of Echinococcus granulosus reported in dogs. The inc...

Echinococcosis is one of the world's most geographically widespread parasitic zoonoses, with transmission occurring in tropical, temperate and arctic biomes. Most human infections are due to Echinococcus granulosus transmitted between domestic dogs and livestock, but this cosmopolitan species also cycles between wild carnivores (principally canids) and wild ungulates. The other species with sig...
متن کاملPrevention and control of cystic echinococcosis.
Human cystic echinococcosis (hydatid disease) continues to be a substantial cause of morbidity and mortality in many parts of the world. Elimination is difficult to obtain and it is estimated that, using current control options, achieving such a goal will take around 20 years of sustained efforts. Since the introduction of current (and past) hydatid control campaigns, there have been clear tech...

Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is an endemic zoonosis in France due to the cestode Echinococcus multilocularis. The French National Reference Centre for Alveolar Echinococcosis (CNR-EA), connected to the FrancEchino network, is responsible for recording all AE cases diagnosed in France. Administrative, epidemiological and medical information on the French AE cases may currently be considered exha...
