چکیده

We denote by (P ) the problem given by the equation (1), the boundary condition (2) and the initial condition (3). We assume that the function c satisfies the hypothesis (Hc) c is a continuous nondecreasing function such that c ′ ∈ Lloc(R); and that the initial condition u0 and the boundary data u D satisfy the hypotheses (H0) u0 ∈ L∞(Ω) and we define U0 := ‖u0‖L∞(Ω); (HD) u D is Lipschitz continuous on Ω with Lipschitz constant LD.

کاربرد روش معادله سهموی در تحلیل مسائل انتشار امواج داخل ساختمان

With the rapid growth of indoor wireless communication systems, the need to accurately model radio wave propagation inside the building environments has increased. Many site-specific methods have been proposed for modeling indoor radio channels. Among these methods, the ray tracing algorithm and the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method are the most popular ones. The ray tracing approach ...

Convergence Analysis of a Mixed Finite Volume Scheme for an Elliptic-Parabolic System Modeling Miscible Fluid Flows in Porous Media

We study a finite volume discretization of a strongly coupled elliptic-parabolic PDE system describing miscible displacement in a porous medium. We discretize each equation by a finite volume scheme which allows a wide variety of unstructured grids (in any space dimension) and gives strong enough convergence for handling the nonlinear coupling of the equations. We prove the convergence of the s...

Reduced Basis Method for Finite Volume Approximation of Evolution Equations on Parametrized Geometries

In this paper we discuss parametrized partial differential equations (PDEs) for parameters that describe the geometry of the underlying problem. One can think of applications in control theory and optimization which depend on time-consuming parameter-studies of such problems. Therefore, we want to reduce the order of complexity of the numerical simulations for such PDEs. Reduced Basis (RB) meth...

Quadratic finite-volume methods for elliptic and parabolic problems on quadrilateral meshes: optimal-order errors based on Barlow points

This paper presents quadratic finite-volume methods for elliptic and parabolic problems on quadrilateral meshes that use Barlow points (optimal stress points) for dual partitions. Introducing Barlow points into the finite-volume formulations results in better approximation properties at the cost of loss of symmetry. The novel ‘symmetrization’ technique adopted in this paper allows us to derive ...

Computationally Efficient Methods for Solving the Bidomain Equations in 3d

The bidomain equations represent the most complete description of cardiac electrical activity. However, the equations prove computationally burdensome as the resulting system of equations has two entries per spatial node. This paper examines the computational performance obtained by decoupling the bidomain equations into two separate systems of equations, an elliptic equation for the extracellu...
