چکیده

In designing software applications, the enduring process faces realistic business challenges to overcome the restricted time, limited resources, and quality constraint in engineering paradigm. Overemphasizing the three engineering limitations upsets the balance of producing highest quality, shortest time, and lowest budget cost during product development lifecycle at the highest efficient mode. By considering the following four design practices during your SAS ® software lifecycle, it is possible to define an approach of building SAS-based software thru maximizing limited constraints. The paper presents 1) functional techniques in expanding single-use program’s flexibility and maintainability, 2) practical guidelines to promote code library and reusability, 3) strategies and advantages of modular process design, and most importantly 4) connection of individual program components into user-driven application. In the end, it makes it possible for project managers and developers to promote a better, faster, and cheaper SAS programming software life cycle.

FEMOSAA: Feature Guided and Knee Driven Multi-Objective Optimization for Self-Adaptive Software at Runtime

Self-adaptive software (SAS) can reconfigure itself to adapt to the changing environment at runtime. Such a behavior permits continual optimization on various conflicting nonfunctional objectives, e.g., response time and energy consumption. In this paper, we present FEMOSAA, a novel framework that automatically synergizes the feature model and Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm (MOEA), to o...

Software Development Lifecycle Models The Basic Types

Throughout the second half of the 20 century, the use of computers has grown enormous. As a consequence, software has become more and more diverse and complex. In addition, there are increasing demands on software – it must be cheaper, have more functionality, be delivered faster, and be of higher quality than previously. In the ever-changing environment and society of software development, it ...

Challenges in the Better, Faster, Cheaper Era of Aeronautical Design, Engineering and Manufacturing

“Better, Faster, Cheaper” (BFC) emerged in the 1990s as a new paradigm for aerospace products. In this paper, we examine some of the underlying reasons for BFC and offer some thoughts to help frame the thinking and action of aerospace industry professionals in this new era. Examination of literature on industrial innovation indicates that aeronautical products have evolved to a “dominant design...

Create Better , Faster , Cheaper Designs for FPGAs

With the advent of ever-larger FPGAs, both software algorithm developers and hardware designers must become more productive. Given the frequent lack of resources (time, money, developers) and often unmanageable complexity, today’s complex software systems require an increase in abstraction level. A new generation of methodologies that describe algorithms at a level higher than RTL are collectiv...
