Theory of Daylight/Interferometric Imaging: Tutorial
نویسنده
چکیده
I present the theory of interferometric imaging (II). Interferometric imaging is any algorithm that images crosscorrelated data for the reflectivity or source distribution. As examples, I show that II can image arbitrary reflectivity distributions by migrating ghost reflections in passive seismic data, generalize the receiver-function imaging method used by seismologists, and migrate free-surface and peg-leg multiples in CDP data. I also show how source distributions can be imaged from passive seismic data.

Interferometric Seismic Imaging
Claerbout’s daylight imaging concept is generalized to the general theory of interferometric seismic imaging (II). Interferometric seismic imaging is defined to be any algorithm that inverts crosscorrelated seismic data for the reflectivity or source distribution. As examples, we show that II can be used to image reflectivity distributions by migrating ghost reflections in passive seismic data,...

Methods: This study is a developmental research and tool design. “Gamified Online Tutorial based on Self-Determination Theory (GOT-STD) Framework" became the basis f...
متن کاملInterferometric array imaging in clutter
We introduce a space-time interferometric array imaging functional that provides statistically stable images in cluttered environments. We also present a resolution theory for this imaging functional that relates the space-time coherence of the data to the range and cross-range resolution of the image. Extensive numerical simulations illustrate the theory and address some implementation issues....
متن کاملOptical Physics of Imaging and Interferometric Phased Arrays
Microwave, submillimetre-wave, and far-infrared phased arrays are of considerable importance for astronomy. We consider the behaviour imaging phased arrays and interferometric phased arrays from a functional perspective. It is shown that the average powers, field correlations, power fluctuations, and correlations between power fluctuations at the output ports of an imaging or interferometric ph...
