چکیده

Involving end users in the development of interactive systems increases the likelihood those systems will be useful and usable. User involvement, however, is both time and resource intensive. Internetand World-Wide-Web-based software release models have magnified these problems. At the same time, these practices have begun to blur the distinction between development and use and, in so doing, have provided developers with unprecedented, and currently underutilized, opportunities for increasing user involvement. We propose an approach — based on expectation-driven event monitoring and expectation agents — that leverages these opportunities to support ongoing user involvement in the software development process.

An Event-Driven Architecture for Spatio-temporal Surveillance of Business Activities

The SECAIR project provides an event-driven architecture for critical environments. It deals with context awareness issues and surveillance of moving objects in real-time. The proposed architecture adopts a data fusion process to handle with location based data. It is therefore well-suited for business activity monitoring, supporting managers at analysing and processing complex event streams in...

A Spatio-temporal Surveillance Approach for Business Activity Monitoring

The SECAIR project provides an event-driven architecture for dealing with spatio-temporal requirements. It adopts a multi-sensor data fusion process to handle with event streams emitting continuously location based data regarding a vast number of different business objects. It is therefore well-suited for business activity monitoring, supporting managers at analysing and processing complex even...

Complex Event Processing for Monitoring Business Processes

With Business Processes becoming more and more popular and the applications growing more complex, the need of monitoring and controlling enterprise business process systems grows. The existing solutions do not support modelbased compliance control [16] and often have limited event-abstraction capabilities. In this thesis we develop and implement a monitoring system for BPEL processes based on t...

.An Integrated Event-Driven Framework Supporting MDD

Model-Driven Development (MDD) defines an approach to developing software systems that doesn’t rely on programming. MDD emphasizes the use of models for defining software specifications and uses automatic tools to generate the implementations for specific platforms. In the MDD, different views and models are specified for different parts of the system. ZOOM, which is a formal notation we propos...
