Classes of imperfect repair models based on reduction of failure intensity or virtual age

چکیده
This paper proposes two new classes of imperfect repair models. The failure process without repair is supposed to be a Non Homogeneous Poisson Process (NHPP). The repair e ect is characterized by the change induced on the failure intensity before and after failure. In the rst class of models, repair e ect is expressed by a reduction of failure intensity. In the second class, repair e ect is expressed by a reduction of the system virtual age. In each case, several particular cases are studied, which take into account the possibility of a markovian memory property. For almost every model studied, there exists a minimal wear intensity, i.e. a maximal lower bound for failure intensity. The classi cation presented here involves existing models and allows the proposition of new ones. The models are compared in terms of wear-out speed. Finally, a numerical statistical study on the quality of the model parameters estimators is presented.

Two echelon-two indenture extended warranty distribution network under imperfect preventive maintenance policies
Nowadays, offering extended warranty is considered as a lucrative source of income from the perspective of the after-sale service providers. Meanwhile, the main concern is presence or absence of base warranty and strategies adopted by the manufacturer during this period. Moreover, extended warranty structure must be responsive and customer oriented, which not only control the services cost but ...
متن کاملFailure Process Modeling for Systems with General Repairs
Many methods on modeling failure processes of repairable systems have been developed. Based on different assumptions on the repairs, the models can be classified into three categories: models for minimal repair, models for general repair and models for perfect repair. In this paper, we will discuss a log linear model based on the general repair assumption. This model is integrated with the Kiji...
متن کاملRepair Efficiency Estimation in the Ari1 Imperfect Repair Model
Abstract The aim of this paper is to study the estimation of repair efficiency in an imperfect repair model, called Arithmetic Reduction of Intensity model with memory one (ARI1). This model, first introduced by Doyen and Gaudoin, has a very simple failure intensity and repair efficiency is characterized by a single parameter. Thanks to that simplicity, the asymptotic almost sure behavior of th...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of a Repairable Robot Safety System with Standby, Imperfect Coverage and Reboot Delay
The present study deals with a robot safety system composed of standby robot units and inbuilt safety unit. When the main operative unit fails, it is replaced by the standby robot unit available in the system. The concept of reboot delay is also incorporated in this study according to which the robot unit is rebooted if it is not successfully recovered. The recovery and reboot times of failed u...
متن کاملFuzzy Reliability Evaluation of a Repairable System with Imperfect Coverage, Reboot and Common-cause Shock Failure
In the present investigation, we deal with the reliability characteristics of a repairable system consisting of two independent operating units, by incorporating the coverage factor. The probability of the successful detection, location and recovery from a failure is known as the coverage probability. The reboot delay and common cause shock failure are also considered. The times to failure of t...
