Stereochemical determination of dictyostatin, a novel microtubule-stabilising macrolide from the marine sponge Corallistidae sp.

چکیده
The relative stereochemistry of the 22-membered marine macrolide dictyostatin, a Taxol-like antimitotic agent, was determined based on a combination of extensive high field NMR studies, including J-based configuration analysis, and molecular modelling.

Efficient syntheses of 25,26-dihydrodictyostatin and 25,26-dihydro-6-epi-dictyostatin, two potent new microtubule-stabilizing agents
The dictyostatins are powerful microtubule-stabilizing agents that have shown antiproliferative activity against a variety of human cancer cell lines. Two highly active analogs of dictyostatin, 25,26-dihydrodictyostatin and 25,26-dihydro-6-epi-dictyostatin, were prepared by a new streamlined total synthesis route. Three complete carbon fragments were prepared to achieve maximum convergency. The...
متن کاملIdentification species of Demospongiae sponge at Assaluyeh Persian Gulf
The marine environment is a rich source of biodiversity and chemical compounds, and based on biodiversity knowledge, it is believed that the highest biodiversity is related to living organisms in tropical and semi-equatorial regions. The goal of this study was the biodiversity of Demospongiae sponge in Assaluyeh area in May 2018. Sampling carried oyu by using Coadrat in three sites with three r...
متن کاملTotal Synthesis of the Antimitotic Marine Macrolide (−)-Leiodermatolide**
Leiodermatolide is an antimitotic macrolide isolated from the marine sponge Leiodermatium sp. whose potentially novel tubulin-targeting mechanism of action makes it an exciting lead for anticancer drug discovery. In pursuit of a sustainable supply, we report a highly stereocontrolled total synthesis (3.2% yield) based on a convergent sequence of palladium-mediated fragment assembly and macrolac...
متن کاملThe anti-biofilm effects of sponge (Callyspongia sp.) and two sea anemones (Zoanthus sansibaricus and Cerianthus lloydii) collected from the Persian Gulf
Background: Sponges and sea anemones do not have specialized defense organs. Instead, they rival harmful microorganisms by producing certain compounds. These compounds can also be useful against some human pathogens. This study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial effects of bioactive products from these marine animals. Methods: Two species of sea anemone <e...
