چکیده
Abstract-By using Lee’s (1969. 1. Appf. hfech. 36, l-6) multiplicative decomposition of the deformation gradient into its elastic and plastic part of Hill and Rice’s (1973. SlAbf J. Appf. Math. U, 44S-461) constitutive framework. explicit and consistent constitutive analysis of large clastoplastic deformation is given. Both isotropic and anisotropic material behaviour is considered. so that some earlier results come as particular cases of this more general formulation. The relationship with other related work is also given.

Existence of Minimizers in Incremental Elasto-Plasticity with Finite Strains
We consider elasto-plastic deformations of a body which is subjected to a time-dependent loading. The model includes fully nonlinear elasticity as well as the multiplicative split of the deformation gradient into an elastic part and a plastic part. Using the energetic formulation for this rate-independent process we derive a time-incremental problem, which is a minimization problem with respect...
متن کاملAn approach to elastoplasticity at large deformations
While elastoplasticity theories at small deformations are well established for various materials, elastoplasticity theories at large deformations are still a subject of controversy and lively discussions. Among the approaches to finite elastoplasticity two became especially popular. The first, implemented in the commercial finite element codes, is based on the introduction of a hypoelastic cons...
متن کاملConstitutive theories based on the multiplicative decomposition of deformation gradient: Thermoelasticity, elastoplasticity, and biomechanics
Some fundamental issues in the formulation of constitutive theories of material response based on the multiplicative decomposition of the deformation gradient are reviewed, with focus on finite deformation thermoelasticity, elastoplasticity, and biomechanics. The constitutive theory of isotropic thermoelasticity is first considered. The stress response and the entropy expression are derived in ...
متن کاملA variational Cam-clay theory of plasticity
We present a finite deformation constitutive theory for non-cohesive granular media. The material model falls in the family of the so-called Cam-clay theories. As typical of Cam-clay models, soil is assumed to be frictional with a logarithmic-type compression. The same state boundary surface––described by ellipses––is taken as yield and plastic potential surface. Hardening is related only to pl...
متن کاملAn Analysis of Large-strain Damage Elastoplasticity
Abstract-The elastoplastic constitutive analysis which utilizes the model of multiplicative decomposition of the defo~ation gradient into its elastic and plastic parts has been mainly developed and applied to elastically isotropic materials, which remain isotropic during the process of plastic deformation. This paper extends the application of the model to materials that change their elastic pr...
