a Visiting Professor to go for at least three months to Baghdad. The Ministry requested the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to nominate some" one to go and I was invited to do so by the President in May 1955. The University of Bristol, to whom I am grateful, agreed to grant me leave of absence far three months. The British Council in Baghdad arranged for me to go to Turkey on m} way home.
