Extended Canonical Duality and Conic Programming for Solving 0-1 Quadratic Programming Problems

چکیده
An extended canonical dual approach for solving 0-1 quadratic programming problems is introduced. We derive the relationship between the optimal solutions to the extended canonical dual problem and the original problem and prove that there exists no duality gap in-between. The extended canonical dual approach leads to a sufficient condition for global optimality, which is more general than known results of this kind. To solve the extended canonical dual problem, we construct corresponding conic programming problems and study their relationship to the extended canonical dual problem. Using this relationship, we design an algorithm for solving the extended canonical dual problem. Our work extends the known solvable sub-class of 0-1 quadratic programming problems.

WEAK AND STRONG DUALITY THEOREMS FOR FUZZY CONIC OPTIMIZATION PROBLEMS
The objective of this paper is to deal with the fuzzy conic program- ming problems. The aim here is to derive weak and strong duality theorems for a general fuzzy conic programming. Toward this end, The convexity-like concept of fuzzy mappings is introduced and then a speci c ordering cone is established based on the parameterized representation of fuzzy numbers. Un- der this setting, duality t...
متن کاملA New Approach for Solving Interval Quadratic Programming Problem
This paper discusses an Interval Quadratic Programming (IQP) problem, where the constraints coefficients and the right-hand sides are represented by interval data. First, the focus is on a common method for solving Interval Linear Programming problem. Then the idea is extended to the IQP problem. Based on this method each IQP problem is reduced to two classical Quadratic Programming (QP) proble...
متن کاملCanonical Dual Approach to Solving 0-1 Quadratic Programming Problems
By using the canonical dual transformation developed recently, we derive a pair of canonical dual problems for 0-1 quadratic programming problems in both minimization and maximization form. Regardless convexity, when the canonical duals are solvable, no duality gap exists between the primal and corresponding dual problems. Both global and local optimality conditions are given. An algorithm is p...
متن کاملA conic quadratic model for supply chain network design under hub, capacity, delay and lost sale
In this paper, mathematical models are proposed for simultaneously modeling location and inventory control decisions in a four echelon supply chain network considering capacity. The echelons considered in this paper include suppliers, warehouses, hubs and retailers. The aim of the model is to minimize the location, transportation and inventory control costs. Hence, a non-linear mixed integer pr...

The past decade has seen a growing interest in inverse optimization. It has been shown that duality yields very efficient algorithms for solving inverse linear programming problems. In this paper, we consider a special class of conic programs that admits a similar duality and show that the corresponding inverse optimization problems are efficiently solvable. We discuss the applications of inver...
