Domain Ontology and Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument Model for Personalized E-Learning Hypermedia System

چکیده
A number of adaptive e-learning hypermedia systems (AEHS) have been developed to support learning styles as a source for adaptation. However, these systems suffer from several problems, namely: lack of maintenance adaptation to learning style, less attention was paid to thinking styles and the insertion of specific teaching strategies into learning content. This paper proposes an AEHS model based on thinking styles and domain ontology. The experiment was completed in three phases for both experimental and control groups. In the first phase all the students were informed that they will participate in an experimental process. The students received a short introduction on how to use the system and to create a user account for login purposes into the system. Then, information about thinking styles categories were given to the experimental group and were asked to complete the questionnaire. In the second phase, the students followed regularly the lessons until the completion of the course; meanwhile taking a quiz at the end of each lesson. In the third phase, learners followed a link to do the post-test. Domain Ontology and Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument Model for Personalized E-Learning Hypermedia System

An Intelligent Architecture for Generating Evolutionary Personalized Learning Paths Based on Learner Profiles
In this paper we present a solution that is a continuation of work done in the field of adaptive educational systems. It is an approach oriented objectives based on ontologies, multi-agent system and Bayesian networks to generate dynamically personalized learning paths. The dynamic aspect is essential for each learning session in the context of this solution, because the learning paths meet the...
متن کاملAn Ontology-based Approach to Student Skills in Multiagent E-learning Systems
The main idea of our approach is that the domain ontology is not only the instrument of learning but an object of examining student skills. We propose for students to build the domain ontology of examine discipline and then compare it with etalon one. Analysis of student mistakes allows to propose them personalized recommendations and to improve the course materials in general. For knowledge in...
متن کاملAutomatic learning of domain model for personalized hypermedia applications
This paper deals with the automatic building of personalized hypermedia. We build upon ideas developed for educational hypermedia; the definition of a domain model and the use of overlay user models. Since much work has been done on learning user models and adapting hypermedia based on such models, we tackle the core problem: the automatic definition of a domain model for a static hypermedia.

1. Sharing user models for adaptive hypermedia applications In this paper we present an approach to sharing a user model among several adaptive hypermedia applications. Current adaptive hypermedia applications often realize the user model as the internal part of the system without any possibility to share this model with other applications. We introduce a Web service called UMoWS (user model We...
متن کاملAn Ontological Approach to Support Personalized E-Learning System
Learners who use educational applications need to get suitable learning material in their concerned domain. However, their level of knowledge, preferences and interests are different. The e-learning system should be able to deliver suitable learning materials based on learner’s preferences and knowledge. The solution is knowledge based personalized model-driven approach. The learner-model and d...
