Heart Rate Regulation During Exercise with Various Loads: Identification and Nonlinear H∞ Control ⋆

چکیده
A model for the heart rate response to treadmill walking exercise is proposed in this paper. The parameters of the model were experimentally identified which involved subjects walking at different speeds. A 2-degree-of-freedom controller was then developed for the regulation of the heart rate response during treadmill exercise. The controller consists of a piecewise LQ and an H∞ sub-controllers. Experimental results demonstrated that the heart rate of the subjects were regulated by the proposed controller.

Evaluation of the effects of aerobic exercise in the aqueous environment on heart rate variability by using Poincare plot nonlinear method
Background and Aim: Heart rate variability used as a non-invasive method to investigate the effect of aerobics exercise on the cardiac autonomic system. The aim of this study was the nonlinear analysis of the effect of aerobic exercise in the water on the cardiac autonomic system in academic youngchr('39')s males. Materials and Methods: A total of 28 young men were purposefully selected and ra...
متن کاملEffect of Combined Exercise Training on Heart Rate Variability and Aerobic Capacity of Boys with Type 1 Diabetes
Background and Objective: Dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system can cause cardiovascular complications in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The present study aimed to investigate the effect of combined exercise training on heart rate variability (HRV-5min), aerobic capacity (VO2max), and glycemic index in boys with T1D. Materials and Methods: In this semi-experimental research, 24 ado...
متن کاملThe response of blood buffering capacity and H+ regulation to three types of recovery during repeated high-intensity endurance training
Background/aim: Many studies were shown the effect of type's recovery on performance. Active recovery has been reported by some to promote greater exercise capacity, while others have not confirmed these results. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of three types of recovery during repeated high-intensity endurance training on blood buffering capacity and H+ regulation. Desig...
متن کاملNonlinear Modelling and Control of Heart Rate Response to Treadmill Walking Exercise
Abstract: In this study, a nonlinear system was developed for the modelling of the heart rate response to treadmill walking exercise. The model is a feedback interconnected system which can represent the neural response and peripheral local response to exercise. The parameters of the model were identified from an experimental study which involved 6 healthy adult male subjects, each completed 3 ...
متن کاملEffect of external airflow resistive load on postural and exercise-associated cardiovascular and pulmonary responses in pregnancy: a case control study
BACKGROUND Facial coverings (e.g., balaclavas, niqabs, medical/surgical masks, respirators, etc.), that impose low levels of airflow resistive loads, are worn by millions of pregnant women worldwide, but little data exist addressing their impact on pregnancy-associated cardiovascular and pulmonary responses. METHODS 16 pregnant and 16 non-pregnant women were monitored physiologically (heart r...
