Multi-Directional Upsampling for Multiple Channel Images

Abstract In this paper, we propose a multi direction color interpolation method for multiple channel images. The proposed gradient judgment method silences the mediocre color interpolation artifacts. We adopted various weights from different directional gradients for conducting adaptive directional interpolation. The proposed weights are computed using correlation and intensity differences. The obtained weights are used for determining final interpolated results. Simulation results prove that the proposed method gives good performance in test set.
