Text-independent Speaker Verification
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper describes one of the biometric systems text-independent speaker verification. It discusses the different stages of speaker verification in text-independent systems as well mentioning other systems for speaker verification. Each stage has its subparts, so those parts are discussed as well. The methods for the speaker-verification are displayed in the article. Feature extraction from the raw speech data is discussed. Preemphasis, windowing and other parts of feature extraction are mentioned. Vector Quantization, Gaussian Mixture Model, Hidden Markov Model, Artificial Neural Network approaches for classification in speaker verification are overviewed.

متن کاملVulnerability evaluation of speaker verification under voice conversion spoofing: the effect of text constraints
Voice conversion, a technique to change one’s voice to sound like that of another, poses a threat to even high performance speaker verification system. Vulnerability of text-independent speaker verification systems under spoofing attack, using statistical voice conversion technique, was evaluated and confirmed in our previous work. In this paper, we further extend the study to text-dependent sp...
متن کاملA Chinese phoneme clustering theory and its application to a text independent speaker verification system
This paper presents a new idea of Chinese phoneme clustering and a text independent speaker verification system with this technique applied. It changes the way of conventional verification method with averaging features used, instead, both the dynamic and static features of speech are included in our new method. Also it leads to fast and efficient clustering algorithm in the training phase. The...
متن کاملImproving Robustness of Speaker Verification by Fusion of Prompted Text-Dependent and Text-Independent Operation Modalities
In this paper we present a fusion methodology for combining prompted text-dependent and text-independent speaker verification operation modalities. The fusion is performed in score level extracted from GMM-UBM single mode speaker verification engines using several machine learning algorithms for classification. In order to improve the performance we apply clustering of the score-based data befo...
متن کاملDNN i-Vector Speaker Verification with Short, Text-Constrained Test Utterances
We investigate how to improve the performance of DNN ivector based speaker verification for short, text-constrained test utterances, e.g. connected digit strings. A text-constrained verification, due to its smaller, limited vocabulary, can deliver better performance than a text-independent one for a short utterance. We study the problem with “phonetically aware” Deep Neural Net (DNN) in its cap...
